BELFAST – Midcoast Actors’ Studio announces the cast of its next production, August: Osage County. Christine West as Violet Weston, Brian Ross as Beverly Weston, Mary Keefe O’Brien Jones as Barbara Fordham, Frank John as Bill Fordham, Grace Underhill as Jean Fordham

Shelly Curtain as Ivy Weston, Marie Stickney as Karen Weston, Shari Wick John as Mattie Fae Aiken, James Tatgenhorst as Charlie Aiken, Jason Bannister as Little Charles Aiken, Amanda Pomeroy as Johnna Monevata, James Clayton as Steve Heidebrecht, and Rob Bywater as Sheriff Gilbeau.

The production is directed by Robin Equality Jones. Leah Elizabeth Smith is the stage manager. Artistic Director Jason Bannister is producer. John Bielenberg designs the set. Elaine Bielenberg is the set dresser. Tom Sadowski is light designer. Costume designer is Jennifer Maher. Jay Rosenberg is light designer. Ivy Lobato and Angela Domenichelli handle props.

August: Osage County won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for drama and 5 Tony Awards, including best play. It was recently made into a movie with Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts. Performances are May 30-June 8 at the Troy Howard Stage, 173 Lincolnville Ave. in Belfast. Tickets are $15 for all ages. The show is not appropriate for children. There will be an optional $10 dinner before each of the two Saturday performances, with a Plains-style menu.
