Orono – Dirigo Pines Inn will be hosting informational meetings about health needs and coping strategies for older adults which are open to the general public at the Dirigo Pines Inn. The first of the series “Memory Loss Issues” will be presented on Wednesday, December 12 at 7:15 PM by Amy Cotton, nurse practitioner with Rosscare in Bangor. Cotton is nationally board certified and a fellow of the National Gerontological Nursing Association. Cotton will address some of the challenges faced by patients and their family caring and handling memory loss.
Future Presentation – Mark your calendar for Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 7:15 PM for a presentation by Bill Kirkpatrick of the Alzheimer’s Association of Maine. Kirkpatrick will talk about services and programming for Alzheimer’s patients.
