In 1971 I believe was the year that the Mariners were truly born. After losing to Central High School in 1970, the mariners cam back again to the Auditorium in 1971 an beat Central on a long half court shot by Gary Gray. At that time the games were in Black and white on channel 7 locally. Would be nice if they had a replay of that game but I doubt there is. I’ll bet Tug White and Stu ttaylor remember the game also.
