For Ten years now, the Non Profit, Manes and Tails, has been working to increase and improve the use of horses therapeutically in Aroostook County. A small group of volunteers who also lead equine programs, raise funds to assist persons with special needs and facilitators, to attend the facility or training of their choice respectively. Currently MT is working a County wide bottle drive and selling 50/50 raffle tickets. The group meets 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at Burger King in Presque Isle. Future 2013 meetings will be taking place at facilities throughout the County. Anyone interested in Equine Therapy is encouraged to attend.
