EMDC AND MAINE PTAC TO HOST GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING WORKSHOP

Bangor—Maine PTAC, a statewide program of Eastern Maine Development Corporation (EMDC), hosts a 90-minute workshop July 17th beginning at 8:30 a.m. designed to help businesses already pursuing government contracts develop new strategies and potentially increase the number of contract awards they receive. The “Subcontracting Strategies for Small Businesses” workshop is free. This is an in-depth workshop and it’s recommended for businesses already familiar with government contracting.

Maine PTAC is part of a nationwide network of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers, or PTACs. Maine PTAC works with Maine-based companies interested in selling their products and/or services to local, state or federal government agencies, either as prime contractors or subcontractors.

In one year, Maine PTAC Clients reported sales of over $226 million in goods and services to the government market.

Eastern Maine Development Corporation (EMDC) is a private, non-profit organization established in 1967. The organization thrives on supporting the region’s businesses and communities.

EMDC has locations throughout the state to support a variety of programs that contribute to Maine’s economic prosperity. EMDC can be reached by calling 207.942.6389 and on the web at www.emdc.org.
