Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that Jeanne Marie Coleman, of Palermo Maine, won fourth place in the photography division for its 2013 Nature Art Exhibit.

Jeanne Marie Coleman submitted ‘Secrets’ and this entry is now posted and online on their website. Artists from twenty different countries submitted work for the Nature Art exhibit. More than 670 entries were considered and judged for this international competition.

After devoting herself to a 30 year career as a police officer/detective Jeanne Marie felt it was time for a change. Early in her law enforcement career she had been trained in forensic photography on a film camera. When her unit transitioned to digital cameras, many years later, they were given little more than a brief orientation class. She was immediately impressed, however, by the outstanding qualities of the new equipment. She also eventually became aware of, and intrigued by, the photo editing software which they were prohibited from using. In 2010 Jeanne Marie started down the arduous, but personally rewarding, path of trying to launch a small photography business. Every day she faces new challenges but also infinite opportunities to expand her creative pallete – as demonstrated in her winning piece ‘Secrets’. Jeanne Marie Coleman’s photography and portfolio can be seen at www.themainephotosource.com.
