ROCKPORT, Maine – This Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., a show featuring Maine-Made products will come to the Samoset Resort in Rockport. Food items (complete with samples), artisans creations, hand-made furniture, and other products made by Mainers will be showcased at “Maine Made 2013.”

Wine and beer tasting is always a draw for the Maine Made Show, and new features for this year are sure to be as well: a children’s crafts area, chef demonstrations and live music round out the event. In addition to samples of chocolates, jams and products from local farms, jewelry, quilts and photography will be on display.
Tickets will be available at the door. Prices are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and children under 12 are free. Wine tasting is an additional fee.
A mission of Maine Made 2013 is to encourage people to shop locally. The one-day show is co-produced by the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Maine Food Producers’ Alliance. The State Department of Economic and Community Development is collaborating with producers and sponsors to promote Maine’s small businesses.
