Portland, Maine (December 17, 2013) – Maine Food Strategy’s Mark Lapping and MFS Project Staff provided an overview of the initiative’s work and released a draft legislative summary report December 6th at the Maine Food Summit.
Hosted by the University of Maine’s Cooperative Extension, the Summit brought together groups to advance conversations around farm, fisheries and food economy-issues.
The summary report provides a snapshot of food-related legislative activity conducted during the 126th Maine Legislature’s first session and reinforces the vital role these issues play in policy creation.
Maine Food Strategy invites the public to review and comment on the draft summary through January 15, 2014.
