MACHIAS, Maine – The Machias Bay Chamber of Commerce gallery will be hosting a photography exhibit for the month of April that features three generations of women.
The exhibit will open on Saturday, April 5, with a reception with the photographers from 5-8 p.m. The normal First Friday exhibition date was moved due to the Chamber’s annual dinner and auction.
The three photographers are Sharon Mack, Faye Mack and Kiley Bauman. Sharon Mack, 65, of Machias, was a photojournalist for 30 years for the Bangor Daily News and has a keen eye for pattern and repetition. She is also the executive director of the Machias Bay Chamber.
Faye Mack, 33, also of Machias, studied photography at the University of Maine at Machias and operates her own business, Faye Mack Photography, which focuses on families and portraits.
Kiley Bauman is the five year old daughter of Faye and granddaughter of Sharon. She began taking pictures two years ago and has already demonstrated a discerning eye for style, color and composition.
The exhibit will remain on display throughout April.
