Be a part of the annual running of the Lucky Leprechaun 5K Road Race and join us in our third road race and walk of the 2013 season: start time is 10:10am (9:45am for walkers) and our host sponsor for this event is Trackside Station, Rockland. The race benefits Go! Malawi; their website can be found at: www.go-Malawi-.org.

Our Set the Pace 5K on January 1st had 99 runners and walkers and was a great way to kick off 2013 as “the year of good fitness.”

The Lucky Leprechaun 5K race course is a fast course with the last mile hugging the ocean coastline. This event will occur on Sunday, March 17th with walkers and runners of all abilities invited to participate.

A great way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day is to walk or run dressed in your green costume. Race registration will take place beginning at 9:00 am at Trackside Station (our host), 4 Union Street, Rockland. This race promises to honor the Irish in you!

Walkers, strollers, well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Go! Malawi runner Reade Brower will host the event along with other Go! Malawi Runners Russ Wolfertz, Andrew Bonarrigo, and Troy Peasley who will all be on hand to either run with you or cheer you to the finish.

Dress warm, be cool; Lucky Leprechaun 5K wants you! This is our third race of our five mid-coast race series; the next one will be the Peter Ott’s 10K race on Sunday, June 2nd in Camden.

Pre-registration is $15 for singles, $35 for family of 3 with $ 10 each additional family member. Teams of 6 or more are eligible for $10 per participant donation; sign up your team until March 13th by emailing reade@freepressonline.com for information. Day of registration will also be available at $18 single, $40 family rate (plus $10 for extra family members). For more race information, contact Reade Brower at 207-691-3510 or by email at reade@freepressonline.com.
