Most people in the Lubec area of Downeast Maine has already read that Northern Tides Art and Gift Gallery, located at 24 Water Street, Lubec, will be hosting a Meet the Author and book signing for JD Rule, author of Neap Tide: A Down East Story on March 17th, 2013 from 1 – 3pm. However, more is happening on St. Paddy’s Day that meets the eye in downtown Lubec.
On Water Street, Becky’s Seafood owner James Robinson will be joining in and selling fresh crab meat, smoked haddock, smoked salmon on a stick, peeled shrimp and smoke salmon pâté. Mr. Robinson said that he would set up his stand at 1 pm and join in the fun until 3 or 4 pm.
Annabelle’s Pub, located at 26 Water Street, Lubec, will be opening early at 2:30 pm hosting Gary Cook, a local favorite guitarist and singer, and Anna does welcome folks from the community to join in the fun.
The Water Street Tavern and Inn, located at 12 Water Street, Lubec, will be hosting Blair Tinker, guitarist and singer. Blair will be playing Irish, local – Downeast, favorites. The Water Street Tavern and Inn will be opening their doors at 2 pm and the music will begin at 4 pm.
Everyone is a little Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, why not join us on Water Street in Lubec to help us celebrate the day.
