Frank Fotusky, whose acoustic blues style is labled “Piedmont” and identified with the Carolinas and Virginia to Tennessee, moved to Portland, Maine recently and has established himself in the music scene there while still touring the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. His playing and singing combine elements of ragtime, Appalachian, early country, and gospel with virtuoso finger-style picking.
Colie Brice is well-known in the Asbury Park, NJ music community and still plays in that famous town occasionally but calls Eastport, Maine home now. Colie and his family have quickly become embedded in the arts Downeast (one of his recent albums is appropriately named “Eastported). With something like 30 releases in his discography that cover a vast collection of styles, Colie is at home with his unique version of the blues, and at Saturday’s concert traditional blues will meet “new age” blues – anything can happen!
