For Immediate Release:

Announcing a new Pop-Up Gallery opening in Northeast Harbor, MDI

Tarratine Gallery of Castine, Maine mounts one-week-only Pop-up Gallery in Northeast Harbor featuring the works of sculptor Goody-B. Wiseman and painter Heidi Daub as well as several other exceptional artists working on the Blue Hill Peninsula.

Pop-up stores have been a new phenomenon over the last few years – temporary, sudden and unexpected displays of art and/or wares in previously unexplored and new terrain. Next week Tarratine Gallery will erect a pop-up gallery across from Sam Shaw’s Gallery – bringing the work of several great artists and late afternoon music and refreshments. Spearheaded by Shaw, this opportunity has been developed as a way of bringing even more culture and excitement to Northeast Harbor’s downtown.

The show will take place Aug 21-27th on Main Street across the street from Sam Shaw’s.

The pop-up gallery will be open from 10-5 daily, and as part of the excitement will also feature beautiful live music most afternoons from 2-5 PM featuring several genres including traditional, classical, jazz and folk.

Please join us and meet the artists for a festive opening on Thursday August 22nd from 5-7 PM.

Featured artists include: Heidi Daub and Goody-B. Wiseman. Also showing are Josh Adam, Susan Parish Adam, Louise Bourne, Missy Greene, Lyn Mayewski, Rebekah Raye, Cynthia Winings, Eila Remelius and Bradley Wiseman, Charleen Wiseman, and Eric Ziner.

Exhibit runs August 21 – 27, 2013, open 10 AM – 5 PM daily

Opening reception: Thursday, August 22, 5-7 PM

Afternoon music frequently, 2-5 PM
