Fighting cancer isn’t easy and trying to deal with the cost of getting to your treatments at the same time makes it even more so.

To help, four local Lions’ Clubs are holding a fundraising dinner at the Waldo County Shrine Club on Friday, June 6, beginning at 4:30 p.m. The clubs, Belfast, Monroe and two in Searsport, will be serving ham, turkey and all the fixings.

The supper is by donation, with all proceeds going to purchase gas cards for cancer patients going for treatment or friends and family going to visit a cancer patient in the Hospice unit.

There will also be a 50-50 raffle to raise funds.
