CAMDEN, Maine — In celebration of the Camden Public Library’s “Discover History Month” during January the ibrary will exhibit a collection of archival photographs from the collection in the library’s Walsh History Center. The exhibit is a collaborative display of historical photographs, objects and maps related to the midcoast area, with historical photos from Lincolnville, Camden and Rockport. The photos show the industry of bygone days, in particular the fishing, shipping, quarrying, lime and ice industries. There is also a display of kitchen gadgetry from centuries past, provided by the Camden-Rockport Historical Society. Included in the exhibit will be this photo of quarrying limerock at Jacobs Quarry, circa 1890. For information, call 207-236-3340.
