BANGOR, Maine — Cross Insurance, a subsidiary of Cross Financial Corp., and one of the largest independent insurance providers in New England, announces that longtime employee Laurie A. Noel recently was named Vice President of Personal Lines for Cross Financial Corp.
Noel, whose primary responsibility is to focus on the profitability and growth of Personal Lines for the entire corporation, also serves as Regional Manager for eight Cross Insurance locations throughout Maine and Massachusetts, including the agency’s branch in Windham, Maine, where she continues to serve as Branch Manager.
“I am honored to work for such a wonderful family-oriented company who always has the best interest of their employees and clients in mind,” Noel said, in a press release. “I am very excited to continue my journey with Cross Insurance in this new capacity.”
Joining Cross Insurance in October 2000 as Manager of the Bangor-based, family-owned agency’s Freeport, Maine branch, Noel eventually added Cross’ Bath, Maine branch to her responsibilities before being an integral force in relocating the company’s Gray office in Maine to Windham in 2003.
Noel began her career in insurance as an Executive Assistant to the President of Maine Bonding & Casualty Company in July 1986. Upon the sale of Maine Bonding in 1989, she was promoted to Officer of Personal Lines, with the responsibility of ensuring the profit and growth of several independent insurance agents throughout Maine and New Hampshire.
Noel is an active member in her community with the Sebago Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce, having served as President in 2010. Noel currently resides in Windham, Maine with her husband and two children.
“We are thrilled to have Laurie as a dedicated member of the Cross Insurance family,” said Brent Cross, Executive Vice President of Cross Insurance. “Having served with Cross in a managerial capacity for well over a decade, Laurie’s experiences make her the most qualified candidate to take on the responsibilities of this exciting role within our organization.”
Since its founding in 1954, Cross Insurance has grown extensively through the acquisition of more than 100 insurance agencies throughout New England.
