Fairfield, ME – Kennebec Valley Community College (KVCC) will hold an Open House Saturday, Nov. 16, featuring campus tours, financial aid guidance, program information, and much more.
The Open House from 10 a.m.-noon in the Carter Hall Multipurpose Center will include refreshments. It is free and open to the public.
Anyone attending the open house will be eligible to enter a raffle to win one free general education course at KVCC. KVCC’s application fee will be also be waived for all those attending the event.
“This event offers an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in KVCC to come and see what the College has to offer, ask questions, and meet many of the staff,” Dean of Students Karen Normandin said. “The open house is a great way to explore options for enrolling in our spring 2014 semester or to plan ahead for next fall.”
Each program at KVCC will have a table at the open house and information on new KVCC programs launching in the spring of 2014 will also be available.
New programs for the spring 2014 semester include a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree in Culinary Arts and a new section of KVCC’s popular Electrical Lineworker Technology program that will allow students to complete that program in eight months.
Special workshops on financial aid, career opportunities, and nursing will be offered. Classrooms and labs on the campus will be open for tours. Potential students can also explore the many opportunities to transfer credits earned at KVCC to four-year colleges and universities.
Registration for the spring 2014 term at KVCC will begin for all students Nov. 12, with classes beginning Jan. 6. To register for any spring program at KVCC, call 453-5119 or 453-5134. Current information is also posted on the KVCC web site at: www.kvcc.me.edu.
