Knox County Republicans have raised more than $65,000 for the Help Heat Homes program, which helped 246 local households in need. The funds were administered by Penquis and 100 percent went directly to buy fuel when federal funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Programs was cut.

The program will continue for the upcoming season.
