PITTSFIELD, Maine — Kleinschmidt Associates, with corporate headquarters in Pittsfield, ME, announces their Board of Directors which is composed of outside directors and senior staff. The BOD is actively engaged in ensuring our overall performance enhances our service delivery for clients by creating sustainable and competitive business practices. Kleinschmidt’s two outside directors, Josh Broder and Larry Warren, provide “windows to the market” and together with our internal directors provide leadership for applying technology, attracting the best talent and developing processes that address market factors that impact our clients.
Joshua Broder is the owner and CEO of Tilson, a Portland, Maine headquartered IT and telecom project company with five national offices and 100 employees. Tilson helps industry and government build cellular networks, smart grids, broadband networks, and IT business systems, and has been on Inc. Magazine’s list of America’s fastest growing companies for the past three years. Josh got his start in technology leading an Army communications unit that built IT and telecom networks in Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia, including Afghanistan. Josh also serves on the boards of the Gulf of Maine Research Institute, HealthInfoNet, and is a Corporator for Bangor Savings Bank. Josh has a BA from Middlebury College and lives in Portland with his wife Eliza and 2-year old son Clayton.
Larry Warren is the Founder and Director of Maine Huts & Trails, a grou ndbreaking hut-to-hut trail system designed to bring eco-tourism to western Maine. Larry grew up in Massachusetts and earned a BS in Accounting from Bentley College in Boston. Not long after that, he moved to Maine and accepted a position with Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation as an accountant. He later became President of SMC and spearheaded a massive mission to turn Sugarloaf Mountain Resort into the vibrant year-round destination it is today. Larry lives in New Portland, ME and continues to provide financial consulting and accounting services to industry.
In addition to the outside directors, Senior Regulatory Advisor Kelly Schaeffer was elected to the BOD for a three-year term in 2014. Principal Consultant Tom Kahl was elected Chair by the BOD. The 2014 BOD is comprised of seven Directors with their respective term expirations as follows:
