Kiwanis Kiddie Parade opens the Kiwanis Karnival in conjunction with the Egg Festival on Thursday, July 17 in Pittsfield

Posted July 16, 2014, at 10:10 p.m.

Our famous Kiwanis Kiddie Parade for children (and their parents) from the Town and region will start at 6:00 pm sharp on Thursday, July 17 from the Pittsfield Municipal Parking Lot. Start to line up at 5:30 pm. Show off your bikes, wagons, floats and more. The Central Maine Egg Festival 2014 Theme is “Egg”Wareness – “Support Your Favorite Cause”. Dress up and march down Main Street to open up the Kiwanis Karnival on Thursday evening. This is a great event as families are quite inventive with their children’s costumes. Your children can wave to their friends and family from their Kiddie Display. Smaller children need to be accompanied by their parents. The parade route is from the Municipal Parking lot onto Somerset Avenue, down Main Street to Crosby Street and then into Manson Park where the Kiwanis Karnival runs from 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm. Lot of entertainment with The Dexter Community Band and The Wildwoods Band performing at the Entertainment Tent plus all of those rides and games!
