Running until December 23, Kay Carter will display her paintings at the Peace & Justice Center, 96 Harlow Street, Bangor. The paintings will be for sale with 50% of the proceeds going to the Center. In addition, the proceeds from any sales thru her web site (www.KayCarterPaints.com) during the same time period will be shared with the Peace and Justice Center.

Kay says of the initiative: “During the past few years I have been blessed with the opportunity to paint throughout Maine. My work is a celebration of the environment in which we live and the challenge to all of us to work for environmental sustainability in all that we do. I am pleased to offer these paintings as a fund raiser for the Peace and Justice Center.”

Feel free to stop by the Center any time the Center is open, look at the paintings, and consider supporting the Peace & Justice Center thru a purchase. The Center is staffed part-time and generally is open from 12-3 Monday through Friday, but other times can be arranged. To be sure the Center is open or to arrange a more convenient time for you to stop by, call 942-9343 and leave a message for staff or for the artist, Kay Carter, if you get a recording.
