BOSTON, Mass., and PORTLAND, Maine — Baker Newman Noyes, one of the nation’s top accounting firms, announced that Boston-based Tax Supervising Senior Kaitlin DeMartin was selected to take part in the Greater Boston Chamber’s 2013-14 Women’s Leadership Program. “Kaitlin’s involvement with the Women’s Leadership Program will enable her to enhance her professional career,” says Joan Smith, tax principal. “As an integral member of our Boston team, her participation will further broaden her skill set, bringing added value for our private and family-owned business clients. I am proud to support her.”
As part of her involvement in this year-long program, DeMartin will attend a one and a half day leadership seminar at Simmons School of Management as well as roundtables, workshops and events focusing on strengthening her understanding of the greater Boston business community and enhancing personal leadership and professional skills.
“It is an honor to be accepted into this program. I believe women in the business arena need mentoring and training programs to assist in empowering them and in growing their careers. Some of Boston’s most influential businesswomen are a part of this program; I’m looking forward to interacting with and learning from them,” said DeMartin. “I am eager to refine my leadership skills, while learning and applying new techniques in order to further my professional career at BNN and in the Boston market.”
