Jonesport-Beals High School announces honor parts

JONESPORT, Maine — The faculty and administration of Jonesport-Beals High School announced the class parts for the 2011-12 school year.

Valedictorian is Robbi Carver, daughter of Debbie and Mark Carver of Beals. Robbi is a member of the National Honor Society and the senior class president. She has received the Maine Principal’s Award and many academic awards. She has served as class president, class treasurer and student council representative. She has been involved in the mentoring program, chorus, band and the school play. She is a stand-out player in volleyball, basketball and softball; and a DAC All-Star in volleyball and softball. She represented Jonesport-Beals at the Maine Youth Leadership Conference during her sophomore year. She plans to attend the University of Maine at Machias where she will be study elementary education.

Salutatorian is Kristopher Kelley, son of Faith Alley and Kendall Kelley of Jonesport. Kristopher is a member of the National Honor Society. He is Student Council president and has participated the school plays and sports programs. He attended the National Youth Leadership Forum on National Security. He distinguished himself by having perfect attendance since he started kindergarten. He plans to attend the University of Maine at Farmington where he will be study psychology.

The class history will be given by Desireé Beal, daughter of Brigitte and Chris Beal of Addison; the class prophecy by Matthew Alley, son of Donna and Ordman “Skipper” Alley Jr. of Beals; the class will by Nikolas Robinson, son of Robbie and Andrea Robinson of Jonesport and Jackie Robinson of Milbridge; the class gifts by Justin Alley and Sarah Merchant, Justin is the son of Melanie and Thurman Alley of Beals, and Sarah is the daughter of Wanda and Arthur Merchant of Beals.
