Jesup hosts “auto-magic” evening of stories about the first cars on MDI

BAR HARBOR — Want to see relics of the very first car ever registered on Mount Desert Island?

Marilyn Solvay of the Seal Cove Auto Museum will have them at the Jesup Memorial Library on Thursday, Feb. 28, as part of a program called “I Remember that Old Family Car…” which begins at 7 p.m.

Learn about the earliest autos on MDI, the “3 Boys Car,” and an early Somesville female driver of an electric car !

Audience members are encouraged to bring their own photos of an old family car or an auto story to share.
