Jason R. Favreau promoted to principal in BerryDunn’s Tax Consulting and Compliance Group

JASON R. FAVREAU PROMOTED TO PRINCIPAL IN BERRYDUNN’S TAX CONSULTING AND COMPLIANCE GROUP

PORTLAND, Maine — BerryDunn, the largest certified public accounting and management consulting firm in Northern New England, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jason R. Favreau to principal in the firm’s Tax Consulting and Compliance Group.

Favreau works primarily with clients in the long-term care, real estate development, hospitality, and manufacturing industries, providing federal and state tax consulting and compliance services. He specializes in partnership and limited liability company taxation, as well as tax strategies for real estate developers and cost segregation studies.

“Jason is a tax wonk in the best sense of the word. He understands the deepest facets of rules and regulations, complemented by a breadth of knowledge across the industries, and he shares his wealth of information to advance thought leadership in our firm,” said John Chandler, BerryDunn’s Managing Principal.

Favreau earned a Master of Science in Taxation degree from Bentley University and was the recipient of the Professor E. William Dandes award.  A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Favreau is also involved with the Maine Real Estate & Development Association.

BerryDunn’s Tax Group specializes in a variety of services including cost segregation studies, research and development studies, mergers and acquisitions, dispute resolution, ESOP accounting, tax and advisory services, executive compensation planning, multi-state and international tax planning, state and local tax, succession and exit strategy planning, and unrelated business income tax planning for not-for-profits.
