BAR HARBOR — Come share the journey – frustrating but ultimately fulfilling – of award-winning TV journalist Jack Perkins and his wife Mary Jo as they discover coastal Maine and build a house on Bar Island. It’s a tale recounted in Mr. Perkins’ new book, “Finding Moosewood, Finding God.” He and his wife will be at the Jesup Memorial Library on Saturday, June 8 at 2 p.m. to talk about the book and their lives as the last two people ever to live on Bar Island, which is now part of Acadia National Park.

Sherman’s book store will on hand with copies of “Finding Moosewood, Finding God,” for purchase, and part of the proceeds of books purchased that day will go to the Jesup.

For more information call Melinda Rice at the Jesup, at 288-4245 or 801-8331, or e-mail mrice@jesuplibrary.org.
