On Sunday, April 6th from 5-7pm, Belfast Transition will be holding a free Introduction to Permaculture and Permablitz program at the Belfast Free Library. A Permablitz is a community work party that converts what was lawn into an edible food garden. Imagine starting in your yard… to grow food and medicine in a high-yield low-maintenance garden, nurture pollinators and promote beauty, create community and slow down, capture solar energy and reduce climate change, exercise and be outside, heal the soil and reverse erosion… this is what permaculture is about. Come to see a slide show, short videos, before and after photos, make new gardening friends and sign up for a permablitz for your yard. FMI call 855-884-2284 or visit www.belfasttransition.org or the online Belfast Transition and Permaculture MeetUp group.
