BREWER, BANGOR and DEDHAM, Maine – The I-95 Classic Drive and Car Show gets going at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Maine Oxy, 131 Robertson Blvd. in Brewer, and will benefit Camp CaPella.
All donations collected from these activities will be matched dollar-for-dollar by this year’s LaVerdiere Matching Funds Challenge grant. Meanwhile significant contributions of more than $1,000 each have been made by Challenge Pacesetters People’s United Bank, the Bangor Letter Shop, Pleasant River Partners, the Bangor Breakfast Rotary Club, the Bangor Lions Club, the Waterville Sunrise Rotary Club and the Skowhegan Rotary Club.
The I-95 Classic Drive will be held 9-10 a.m. Saturday from Maine Oxy in Brewer via Route 1A to NAPA Auto Parts on Route 1 in Ellsworth. Maine Oxy’s Classic Car Show at NAPA Auto Parts will be from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. Plus there will be the Retro Rockerz band, lots of food and ice cream, 50/50 raffle, plus prizes for best-in-show. The Darling’s Ice Cream for a Cause ice cream truck will be at the Classic Car Show until 11 a.m. All donations will also go to Camp CaPella and be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Matching Funds Challenge.
