Posted March 04, 2014, at 10:48 a.m.

According to the CDC breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women. About 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop breast cancer in the course of her lifetime. Students in the Health Communications Class at Husson are supporting Lunafest – a nonprofit women’s film festival being held March 21st at 7 pm in the Gracie Theater at Husson University. The Health Communication class wants to extend their invitation to participate in taking action with a breast cancer awareness campaign. 100% of proceeds of this event will be going directly to The Breast Cancer Fund and Mabel Wadsworth, a women’s health center in Bangor. Tickets will be available at the door. To find out more information on Lunafest, please go to www.lunafest.org.
