Hubbard Road in Berwick to be closed for DOT project

Posted July 25, 2014, at 1:59 p.m.

BERWICK, Maine — Due to a traffic signal installation project, the Hubbard Road in Berwick will be closed to all through traffic 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, July 28 and 29, according to the Maine Department of Transportation.

The closure will be approximately two and a quarter miles west of the intersection with Rochester Street. The area is down to one lane of alternating one-way traffic using temporary traffic signals. Motorists need to be detoured so crews can install poles and equipment for the more permanent traffic signals.

The detour will utilize Route 202 (Carl Broggi Highway), and Little River, Pine Hill and Rochester roads.

It is anticipated all work will be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday, July 29.
