ORONO, Maine — The 20th annual HOPE Festival will be held 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at University of Maine’s Student Recreation and Fitness Center in Orono.
The HOPE Festival celebrates our connections to the earth and to each other and affirms the power of our united efforts. The deadline for table applications for organizations working for peace, justice and sustainability is March 31. Backdrops and electrical connections are limited.
On the menu will be a full day of information sharing, networking, sustainability demonstrations, entertainment, a fun and informative children’s program and delicious food for sale by local vendors.
This year’s inspiring keynote speaker for HOPE will be Indigenous Rights Activist, Sherri Mitchell. The HOPE Festival Singers and Inanna Sisters in Rhythm will bring their energy as the headline performers. Families and children will delight in Zachary Field’s amazing juggling, learn acro-yoga, create hats from recycled materials and plant seedlings and more.
