Homeschool Program

Posted Feb. 05, 2013, at 2:48 p.m.

Winter/Spring 2013 at Fields Pond Audubon Center, Holden

We aim to nurture the natural curiosity of children through experiential learning, exploration and play. Each class includes a focus question and sets the stage to answer, solve, or investigate alternatives to it. This is a perfect opportunity for homeschool families to meet individual learning needs in a small group setting.

Every class includes indoor and outdoor adventures that incorporate both academic and social skill building. Our Spring semester aim is to discover and explore nature’s opportunities.

Our homeschool schedule now includes four monthly classes.

We will meet on the following Fridays: February 15, March 15, April 19, and May 17.

Seedling (K-3) sessions 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m.

Sapling (3-6) sessions 1 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.

New! Stewards (ages 11-13) 4-5:30 p.m.

Cost: $40/member, $60/nonmember per child for the four-session sequence. Advanced registration is required. Please call FPAC at 989-2591 or register online at www.maineaudubon.org.
