BANGOR, Maine — Over the past year, more than 2,000 people in our community relied on the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter for a clean, safe place to stay, a hot meal, crisis intervention, and community connections.
Together, let’s hike for the homeless on Saturday, April 13, to support our community, give back for one day, teach our children that homelessness is not OK, and send a message that we can do better than this.
Start in Bangor, Brewer, Hermon, or Hampden and walk to the Bangor Waterfront for raffle prizes and an opportunity to learn more about the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter.
Come Hike for the Homeless on April 13, and tell homelessness to “take a hike” in your community. For complete information visit www.hikingforthehomeless.org. Suggested registration donation: $5.
