Hancock – Rev. Marvin Ellison to Preach at Hancock Congregational Church June 29th – Open and Affirming Sunday

Rev. Dr. Marvin Ellison will preach at Hancock Congregational Church on Sunday, June 29th – Open and Affirming Sunday. The public is invited.

Rev. Ellison was professor of Christian Ethics at Bangor Theological Seminary from 1981 to 2013. He is an ordained Presbyterian minister. He founded the Religious Coalition Against Discrimination in Maine to support civil rights protections for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people. He also co-chaired the Religious Coalition for the Freedom to Marry in Maine.

A reception will follow the worship service and all are welcome to personally greet Rev. Ellison.
