All Invited for Day of Prizes and Surprises at the Greenville Jct Depot on August 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Greenville Junction Depot Friends” has announced the organization’s annual open house gala party will be held at the Greenville Junction Depot, starting at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 17th. If you love the Junction Depot building, old trains, good food, excellent arts and crafts, train lore, rousing music and fun in general, be sure to mark your calendar now. Highlighting this year’s festivities will be a concert by the Dexter Community Band, luncheon by Grill Master General, scrumptious desserts, and prizes galore – including a raffle prize of a week in a Costa Rican vacation home with $250 spending money thrown in!

Of course there will be guided tours of the Depot and old-time railroad workers will once again gather and mingle to share their fascinating stories with visitors and each other. Stay tuned for further information on plans being firmed up for a free velocipede ride on the rails, special photo opportunities, and, on top of all that, an extraordinary super-special guest, about whom we’ll learn more next week.

Area artists will be displaying their wonderful works for sale and some may work on-site during the celebration. Display space under the group’s tent will be limited, but ground space can be made available for artists who have their own tent for cover. In either case, all artists are asked, as soon as possible, to express their interest via an email to: info@greenvilledepot.org.
