WHITEFIELD, Maine — The “Green Workout” trails stewardship Trail Day seeks volunteers at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Whitefield Salmon Preserve.
There will be a bit of break in the weather on Wednesday, so why not join in the fun? The Trout Lillies are blooming, along with other seasonal wildflowers, birds are singing and yes bugs are flying……but what better way to get exercise than out on the trail in the spring!
Tools are provided (but if you have a favorite saw or set of loppers, feel free to bring them). We work in groups, so no prior experience is needed. Come prepared for the weather and insects, and be sure to bring some water. It’s helpful if you email@example.com to let us know if you’re planning to come – that way we can plan the work and also let you know if there has been a change in plans.
If you are interested in volunteering for any of these opportunities, please contact Lynne at 586-5616 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
