GRAND LAKE STREAM, Maine — “Grand Lake Stream, America,” the town’s annual Fourth of July celebration, will be held 8 a.m.-10 p.m. on Thursday, July 4.

A list of the day’s activities will include: Games in the Park for Children, 3 Mile Race, Frog Races, Tubing on the Stream, and of course, The World’s Best Parade By a “Dam Site” featuring an array of antique and classic cars, trucks, tractors, bicycles, horses and bands.  Ten prizes will be given out for best floats during the parade. There will also be a food tent featuring the Guides’ “world renowned” barbecue chicken dinner and strawberry shortcake. The evening festivities conclude with a Sparkler Parade Across the Dam.  A complete list of activities is listed at https://www.downeastlakes.org/events/grand-lake-stream-america-2/.

The day’s entertainment will feature the Divas Through the Decades, a musical tribute to some of the most influential female vocalists in American pop music, featuring songs from the 40’s, through today’s current hits!  The show features music made famous by various Divas including Tina Turner, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, Gloria Estefan, Madonna, Beyonce, Shania Twain, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and many more!   Not only will you experience iconic music and incredible singing and dancing, you will find comedy and sentiment throughout the performance as you witness the girls getting the audience involved and participating in the show!   www.divasthroughthedecades.com

Grand Lake Stream is a sportsman’s paradise; abundant in the St. Croix watershed are landlocked salmon, square-tailed trout, lake trout and some of the best small-mouthed bass fishing in Maine. Grand Lake Stream itself is one of the most premier fly fishing streams for landlocked salmon in the country.  In addition, Grand Lake Stream has the greatest number of Registered Guides anywhere in the State of Maine – making the small town (Population 150) the perfect place for sportsmen and their families who crave the outdoor activities (wild life, swimming, canoeing, etc) to visit.  http://www.grandlakestream.orghttp://www.grandlakestreamguides.com
