Golf classic tournament raises nearly $19,000

AUBURN, Maine — Boys & Girls Clubs’ Auburn/Lewiston Clubhouse raised nearly $19,000 at  its 18th annual Golf Classic on Thursday at Fox Ridge, to benefit the club.

Co-chairmen for the event this year were Steve Carew of BGA Financial and Norm Poulin of Northeast Financial Services.

Boys & Girls Clubs would like to thank the event, green and tee sponsors including Mechanic Savings Bank, BGA Financial, Androscoggin Bank, Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation and Poland Spring Bottling Co., in addition to all those who came out to golf and volunteer.

This year, nearly 400 kids and teens in Lewiston/Auburn are members of the Auburn/Lewiston Clubhouse, and more than 100 members attend each day on average.
