New Gallery in Downtown Ellsworth: CRAFT MAINE
CRAFT MAINE, located in the Main Grind Building on Main Street, Ellsworth, opened its doors. CRAFT MAINE features the work of functional craft artists from the state of Maine working in clay, wood, metal, fiber and glass.
The gallery is open daily,11 to 7, closed on Sundays
The gallery represents eleven artists: Chrisitine Covert, Barb Fernald, Lisa Jane Grant, Jackie Haines, Lisa Hall, Jon Ho, Nicole Kirchhoff, David LaValle, George Pearlman, Addie Peet, and Nisa Smiley.
Gallery owner Cara Romano is the current President of the Maine Crafts Association, an artist and arts advocate, Romano has strong convictions when it comes to the creative economy in Maine, “I believe every artists deserves to make a living from their craft, it’s my job to present the work to the public and tell their story.”
