Passadumkeag, Maine – The 1837 Foundation of Northern Maine, an Affiliate of the Passadumkeag Historical Society will hold a Silent Auction and Fundraiser Bazzar this weekend. February 19th is the anniversary of the date of General Order No. 7 and the Aroostook War expeditionary militia.
The goal of this fundraiser event is to purchase markers for the soldiers and militia of the Aroostook War, the first memorial of its kind in Maine.
The 1837 Foundation’s goal is to make the Passadumkeag park an official rest stop on the proposed Aroostook Trail.
On Saturday, February 15th a Fundraiser Bazaar will begin at 9 am to 5 pm. A Silent Auction with handcrafted goods, jewelry and collectible items will run from 3 – 4 pm. The Bazaar continues Sunday, February 16 at 11 am. All events take place at the Passadumkeag Community Center, Pleasant Street, next to the Passadumkeag Fire Station.

The 1837 Foundation of Northern Maine is an educational/historical/genealogical non-profit organization established to recognize and remember those who protected and defended the Northern boundary and Territorial integrity of the United States and State of Maine prior to the finalization of the 1783 Treaty of Paris.
