CARIBOU, Maine – It’s a Family Barn Dance! Here’s the Update.

Latest report : it’s going to be FUN: June 2, 4-9 PM. Games, prizes, cotton candy, pop corn, petting zoo, Smokey the Bear, mystery guests: celebrities and performers, food, music with DJ Express, lots of crazy dancing, maybe some Karaoke. All at 34 Plante Rd, Caribou. Games start at 4pm Music 6-9.

With the goal of creating a fun and active afternoon and evening, the Family Barn Dance is organized by volunteers from Houlton through Fort Kent; with proceeds to support the Manes and Tails Aroostook Scholarship fund. (helping people with special needs to attend Equine Assisted Services of their choice in Aroostook.)

Since 2004, Manes and Tails (non profit) has supported people with special needs to connect therapeutically with horses in Aroostook County. Recent fund raisers included a County wide bottle drive and Scholarship ‘Fan’ Club tickets. Recent donations from Rotaries in Houlton, Presque Isle and Caribou have supported a wheelchair ramp in Monticello and contributed to fund Aroostook residents’ tuitions for Equine Assisted Services.

Barn Dance tickets $5/ea, max $20/family, children under three free. Door prizes, half and half raffle and bean supper (donations accepted) provided. This is a fund raising event for a great cause.
