FrogWatch USA offering free training at SERC

WINTER HARBOR, Maine — FrogWatch USA is a national frog and toad monitoring program of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Volunteers adopt a wetland and listen for calling frogs and toads during evenings in February through August. There is a FrogWatch USA coordinator training workshop on the SERC campus in Winter Harbor from Wednesday, May 15, through Thursday, May 16. This in-person training is free and meals and lodging on-site are included through the support of a National Science Foundation Informal Science Education (NSF ISE) grant. Some additional travel reimbursement may also be available. Registration closes May 3, 2013. Contact SERC Institute for more information and registration forms.
