Fort Kent – Freedom Fest 2014 has grown to 10 bands, a Bike Run and a Veterans Village.
The day will begin with an opening Bike Run from Plourde Harley Davidson , Caribou to Fort Kent lead by the Patriot Guard Riders & First Lady Ann LePage honoring the fallen and respectfully welcomed in Fort Kent by the Saluting Marine SSG Tim Chambers. After opening ceremonies which will include Melanie Saucier and special guest and dignitaries attendees will enjoy music from 10 bands: The Thomas Nicholas Band, Madison Rising, 2013 Band of the Year the Mallett Brothers Band, Gunther Brown, Forget-Forget, Spirit of Cash:Harold Ford -Laura Lucy & the Cash Band, Randolph S Michaud, Tennessee Haze, Uprooted, Kindred. Freedom Fest 2014, a joint venture of Martin-Klein American Legion Post 133 and the Fort Kent Historical Society will raise funds for a Northern Veterans Museum & Community Center “So that the future can understand what the past has given in the name of Freedom” and tickets can be purchase online at http://freedomfest2014.bpt.me or locally at Albert’s Jewelry and Gas-N-Go Foods in Fort Kent.
