On Thursday, November 8th at 9am at the MDI YMCA, enjoy a presentation by George Neptune, a Passamaquoddy basket maker from the Abbe Museum. He will be talking about the evolution of the ash and sweet grass basket traditions. George comes from a long line of famous basket makers. His grandmother, Molly Neptune-Parker just went to D.C. to receive the National Fellowship Award. George is young and innovative and known to break the rules of traditional basket making. Come listen to George and see his wonderful baskets.
After the talk, participants are welcome to use the Y facility. Please note that this is part of our Walks and Talks Program. We follow the school closing policy – if there is no school, there is no Walks and Talks program.
