Fourth of July events in Sebec Village

SEBEC, Maine — Enjoy an All-American Fourth of July in Sebec Village with food, fun, and so much more. Breakfast will be served at the Sebec Village Community Christian Church at 7:30. The annual 5K Road Race will start at 8:00, and a parade will follow at 9:30. Participants in the parade should line up at 9:00. Mrs. Maine, Sebec’s own Liza Smith will be the Parade Marshll. Please come join the parade. The USCA sanctioned Canoe Race will begin at 10:30, and the world’s most delicious chicken barbecue will be served from 11:00 – 2:00. Of course hot dogs will be offered and there will be an assortment of sides to accompany the chicken; baked goods and ice cold drinks will be available all day long.
               
There will be a variety of activities available for children including pony rides, and there will be raffle items as well. New this year: the Sebec Village Associates will randomly give away two certicates for a future free meal!
               
Come for breakfast in the village and spend the day with friends both old and new. Your participation will assist the Sebec Village Associates in upgrading the electrical service in the Reading Room as part of improving the heating system.
