Four Attorneys from McTeague Higbee Named to Top 100 Injured Workers’ Attorneys in America

TOPSHAM, Maine – Four attorneys from the workers’ rights law firm, McTeague Higbee, were recently named to the Top 100 Injured Workers’ Attorneys in America by the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group.

Karen Bilodeau is an attorney and partner at McTeague Higbee. She practices workers’ compensation law and personal injury law. In addition to her recognition in the Top 100 Injured Workers’ Attorneys, Bilodeau also has been named by her peers to the Best Lawyers in America list in the field of workers’ compensation for the last two years. She is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, American Association for Justice, the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group, and the Maine Employment Lawyers Association. She earned her B.A. from Bates College and her law degree from the University of Maine School of Law. She is a resident of Auburn.

Katherine M. Gatti is an attorney at McTeague Higbee. She practices workers’ compensation law and personal injury law in the York County area. Gatti is a member of the Maine State Bar Association. She is a cum laude graduate of the University of Maine School of Law where she served as head case note & comment editor of the Maine Law Review. She earned her B.A. from Bates College. She is a resident of Portland.

Suzanne L. Johnson is an attorney and partner at McTeague Higbee. She was selected for the Top 100 list for her work in cases involving the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, with a particular emphasis on asbestos exposure claims. In addition to Longshore cases, she manages the firm’s probate, estate planning and elder law department. Johnson is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives, the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group. A cum laude graduate of Duke University, Suzanne received her law degree from Vanderbilt School of Law. She is a resident of Brunswick.

Janmarie Toker is an attorney and partner at McTeague Higbee. She was selected for the Top 100 Injured Workers’ Attorneys list for her work representing clients whose injuries fall under the Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act. She has represented injured Bath Iron Works employees for over 25 years. She is a member of the Maine State Bar and the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group. She is also a fellow at the Maine Bar Foundation. A Portland native, Toker received her B.A. from Bates College and her law degree from the University of Maine School of Law. She is a resident of Portland.
