FORMER RED SOX PLAYER JOINS LOCAL BUSINESSMAN FOR “THE BUSINESS OF BASEBALL”

Former Boston Red Sox player Shea Hillenbrand will join Dove Tail Bats owner Paul Lancisi on Thursday, April 17th at the Cross Insurance Center as Mobilize Eastern Maine presents “The Business of Baseball”. Beginning at 9:00 a.m., the FREE event highlights the international success Lancisi has found producing wooden bats for the baseball industry and Hillenbrand’s experience with the business side of “America’s favorite past time”. Seating is limited and registration is recommended by email to clewis@emdc.org.

Dove Tail Bats is based in Shirley, Maine and produces high quality, wooden baseball bats for all levels of players, from little league to the major leagues. The company is the exclusive maker of wooden bats for the Senior League World Series, which is held in Bangor each summer.

Hillenbrand played for the Red Sox from 2001 to 2003 earning a spot as the starting third baseman for the 2002 All Star Game. He currently lives in Arizona and operates the non-profit organization, Against All Odds.
