FLASH! IN THE PANS AND THE ARK SET TO CELEBRATE

On Monday, August 25th, from 7:30-9:00 pm at the Blue Hill Town Park, Flash In The Pans team up with The Ark Animal Shelter to celebrate The Ark’s 30th Birthday in style with and unforgettable night of steel pan Caribbean rhythms.

The Ark has been rescuing homeless pets with passion and persistence for over thirty years. A no-kill shelter servicing both Hancock and Washington counties, the Ark is not only committed to providing compassionate care and placement of homeless pets, but also provides one of the most successful spay-neuter programs in the State.

One of the largest community steel pan bands in the country, Flash!’s enormously popular Monday night concerts and street dances are fund raisers that benefit local non-profit organizations. The music is infectious and enjoyed by enthusiastic audiences of all ages, from infants to centenarians.

An open-donation event, the Ark’s Birthday Celebration will also include: cake and ice cream, hamburgers and hotdogs, popcorn, pet goods, t-shirts, glow-in-the-dark items, and more.

In the event of rain, the celebration will be moved to The Blue Hill Consolidated School. For more information, contact The Ark at 546-3484.
