2nd Annual Locavore Food, Music & Arts Festival takes place July 19th on the grounds of Cider Hill Farm.

WALDOBORO, Maine — On July 19, down in the hollow at Cider Hill Farm with a newly built stage, a variety of Maine’s talented musicians will perform their original music. The upper festival grounds will become an outdoor art gallery, exhibiting sculptures from nearby artists and feature food stands from local businesses such as Harvest Moon Pizza, Savage Oakes Vineyard & Winery and Pemaquid Oyster Co. Locavore Food, Music & Arts Festival wants to show off what midcoast Maine has to offer.

This year’s festival headliner is Ghost of Paul Revere, recent recipient of the “Best in Maine” at the New England Music Awards. Also taking the stage are seven other Maine-grown bands, coming from all over the State. Music genres run the gamut; from holler, rock, folk, Americana, and the blues.

The Festival’s mission is very simple: support our local talented community. The Festival organizers want to promote local music, and in doing so, only feature musicians wanting to promote their original compilations and albums. We strive to invite local artists, food purveyors and retailers to show their wares and help expand their customer base.

Early bird tickets are on sale now until June 21st for $10 per person. Full ticket prices are $14 per person for a full day pass; when accompanied by an adult, kids under age 14 are free. Tickets will also be available for cash purchase at the gate the day of the festival for $15. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit our event listing at: www.facebook.com/LocavoreFestival or via www.eventbrite.com using keywords “Locavore Festival”.
