BANGOR, Maine – The Ohio Street Farmers’ Market will open for it’s third year from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 6.
The market is sponsored by Bangor Grange and Food and Medicine of Brewer. Market Manager, Rolf Staples, Sr. reports that there will be at least five vendors offering fresh, organically grown produce, including a wide variety of vegetables, fruit, dairy, and meat products.
Returning vendors are Carrot Top Farm of Bangor, and Hollow Maple farm of Etna. The new vendors are Phat Farm of Unity, J&C Family Farm of Thorndike, and South Paw Farm & Fuzzy Udder Creamery of Unity. The market will be offering EBT/SNAP users the opportunity to purchase produce at a 50 percent discount.
